my dad told me that back in the day when my brother, sister, and i were babies (the seventies and eighties) he and my mom would run out of diapers all the time and he'd have to run out at whatever hour it was to pick up more at 7-11. this blew my mind. i get diapers overnighted to my front door. once i ordered diapers at five pm and they were on my doorstep the next morning at eleven. this got me thinking - what did people do without diaper delivery. . . or the swing. aurora lived in the swing her first six months of life. and the ergo or bjorne? i don't know what people did before those. . . carry their babies with their arms? say what? all i know is everybody managed and that my house is covered in all kinds of gadgets, gear, and gizmos that thankfully make my life easier on a daily basis.
*i swear i'm not a doomsday prepper. i just like to be a little (overly) prepared.

we had that exact swing. it saved our sanity.
